Day 126 - Five of Swords

Day 126

Working on a tarot app I noticed I can work without burning out, but my style of work is not that. It was idea of my wife to split work into small parts that can be done in an hour or less and instead of creating routine, create backlog I can grab something from when I'm bored.

This made me realise that if I could work like that I could have made my dream game years ago. Kinda bummer, I felt down for the reminder of the day.

Eh, onto the next card!

Five of Swords

This card embodies the idea of Pyrrhic victory. It's a card about winning at a great cost. What said cost is, tarot doesn't specify. Was it your honour, reputation, friends, family, health? This victory cost you, perhaps it will not even feel like victory in the long run.

But hey, a win is a win, right? It's a great card for those who don't mind the cost of winning.

In reverse this card speak of doing the opposite - instead of winning, seeking compromise that will allow you to restore something else. In my opinion it's still a win, though less conventional one than the one we focus on.

I decided to forego making the "Card as a" pieces for now. I will still add them to my app, which will be free on Google Play Store when finished.

Day 144 - Five of Cups

Day 144   Apparently some party in Germany sent out fake deportation notices to immigrants as part of their election campaign. This got me...
